Product Description: Since coming on the scene in 2008, Banshee Bungee has opened up new possibilities in urban riding with a highly elastic cord that launches riders up to 30 miles per hour. The boardbungee puts any terrain into play for snowboarding, skiing, and skateboarding and eliminates the need for drop-in ramps. The bungee also works for watersports such as skimboarding - packing enough speed to let riders hit previously unattainable breaks.
Working like a slingshot, riders tie the end of the bungee to any fixed object (rail, pole, tree etc…) past the feature they want to hit. For water sports, the boardbungee can be anchored past the break. Once the bungee is secure, riders stretch back until there is tension in the cord. When a rider is ready to let it rip, he or she lets go of the handle. With an extra handle, two people can stretch the bungee for more speed.
In addition to the original 20-foot Outlaw Slinger package, Banshee introduced the 10-foot Urban Assault in 2009. Specifically designed for rails, urban features and skate parks, the Urban Assault is just right for tight situations. For those who want serious launch, the Federal Offense package includes two 20-foot boardbungees and two handles.

Company Location: Banshee Bungee is headquartered in Nampa, Idaho.
How it Started: The idea for Banshee Bungee hatched when CEO Kevin Veon was an MBA student at Boise State University. Blending his love for river sports with his background in engineering, Veon developed a business plan to manufacture riverboards utilizing a bungee system to gather speed from river currents. Veon incorporated the company as Banshee Riverboards in 2004 and was awarded the prestigious ISPO BrandNew Hardware Summer Award in 2006.
Seeing many possibilities for the boardbungee beyond riverboarding, Veon worked with board sport professionals to develop a multi-sport boardbungee that was introduced in mid-2008. The company was re-named Banshee Bungee at that time to reflect its evolution.
