Banshee Bungee
March 19th, 2009 // Posted by: banshee

Nampa, Idaho (Thursday, March 19, 2009) - Since coming on the scene in 2008, Banshee Bungee has opened up new possibilities in urban riding with a 20-foot cord that launches boarders up to 30 miles per hour. Eliminating the need to build or carry drop in ramps, the bungee packs enough speed to jib in even the most vertically challenged spots.

Today Banshee announced the availability of the Urban Assault - a shorter version of its original bungee designed specifically for rails, urban features and skate parks. The 10-foot Urban Assault allows riders to hit features at speeds of up to 15 miles per hour and can be used solo.

“The bungee has caught fire in urban boarding because it helps riders reach speeds they wouldn’t be able to hit on their own, and it saves them a lot of time by eliminating the need for drop in ramps,” said Banshee Bungee CEO Kevin Veon. “A natural next step was to develop a bungee that solves the problem of short lead ins and tight situations.”

The Urban Assault bungee can be tied to a rail post or fixed object with a strong rope or nylon strap. Similar to a slingshot, the rider pulls the bungee back until there’s tension in the cord. The rider releases the handle to sail forward. When the snow melts, the bungee is a great accessory for skateboarding, skimboarding and other board sports.

The Urban Assault package retails for $149 and can be purchased at retail locations and online at www.bansheebungee.com.
