Morgan Just here again, With a little update of whats been going on. Last weekend (8/28/08 to 8/31/08) me and Brandon Rothe took a little road trip up north, actually a big road trip in a little amount of time. We went to Merced CA Friday to wake surf then to Sacramento Saturday for a flatland skim contest, and of course we wipped the bungee out and flew at some rails at 30mph too (soo fun). Then had a long night in San Fransico, and woke up in the car Sunday morning to drive to santa cruz for a small yet fun skim contest. I thought I was going to do good in it but after a full weekend (and no sleep) my legs were done, after my first heat I felt like both of my hamstrings were going to snap, so I decided to be smart this time, and not push it so I walked out of my second heat. The rides at the Santa Cruz boardwalk were calling my name anyways. Props to Matt Head for getting 1st in sac, and to Noah Lane for helping us find our way.
Morgan Just in Spain and Portugal: Voodoo El Masnou Barcelona is a skim contest in Barcelona Spain. The airlines ended up losing my luggage for the duration of the trip, and I had to do the contest on a borrowed board two sizes to big for me. Despite the bad luck I ended up in 1st place. then scored some really good bungee waves off a secret pointbreak out side of Barcelona. I finally got my luggage as we were heading out to Portugal, and my luck kept getting better as I scored more good skim, surf, and even bungee waves for the rest of the trip. over all it was a dope trip. Thanks goes out to Miguel and Spanish Rafa for making it all happen.
Morgan Just in Panama City Beach FL: PCB was just a weekend, show up, do the contest, and go back home to catch some waves. I did a bungee skim demo there and it was a surprise to me that it worked well in small waves, and that so many people were having fun using it. By the time the contest rapped up there was more people bungee skimming than watching the awards. I ended up in 2nd
