I love everything about snowboarding! From the feeling of sticking a gnarly trick to the pure environment of hanging with your friends on a mountain.

The 2009 Twilight Showdown Mountainboard Nationals turned out to be an
amazing contest. We had 3 of the most innovative features in a mountainboard
competition to date including the greatest boardercross course in the U.S.
at this time. There were also more spectators than originally expected with
about 500 over the 2 days. Along with 42 competitors from anywhere between
Hawaii and New Hampshire and covering all levels of riding
DAY 1

The first night was just the boardercross racing and (despite a 20mph+
headwind) went off without a hitch. Normally a course is geared towards the
pros or the underclasses but this on appealed to all. It was fast and
challenging for all levels. The results broke down like this…

DAY 2

The second night was the freestyle night. In there we had the slopestyle,
Banshee Bungee rail jam, and the ground industries big air jam. This night
drew the most spectators was definetiley the most visually compelling with
riders throwing 7s, misty flips, and slaying the 15′ down rail. The 2 most
innovative feature were here with the banshee downrail over dirt and the
drop out of the barn. The results broke down like this…
