Morgan Just – Bungee Skim

Last weekend Banshee traveled to Laguna Beach, California for a Bungee Skimboarding session with professional skimboarders Bill Bryan, Morgan Just, and Sam Stinnet. It takes just seconds to stretch and launch riders at over 20 miles per hour. According to Morgan Just, “The Bungee Skim will change the sport. Hands down.”

Morgan premiered Bungee Skimboarding at the 10th annual Zap Pro Am skim contest in Panama City, Florida the following weekend; people were amazed. Morgan will premier Bungee Skim in Europe on April 19th and 20th at the 2nd Voodoo Contest in Barcelona, Spain on the beach at Masnou.

We just bought the beach package and we freakin love it! We live on the gulf coast of Florida, which means any waves we get usually breakout to far. We saw the banshee and its potential for helping us catch waves that only surfers get the privilege to ride. We bought a cheap boat anchor and swam it out about 200ft or so. Then we tied a rope to the bungee so we could stretch it to land (the set up only takes about 5 mins).

After setting up we have 3 to 4 people stretch it to land, wait for a set to come in and shoot out at about 20 mph. It worked perfect! We were wrappin to 6 second lines sometimes, other times you would get a huge wrap to barrel…either way it was well worth the money.
